Senator Orji Kalu Distributes School Desks Across Bende to Improve Learning Conditions
Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has launched the distribution of school desks across Bende LGA after facilitating over 100 school projects in Abia North, reinforcing his commitment to quality education and better learning conditions for children.
Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, has commenced the distribution of school desks to public schools across the district as part of his ongoing effort to enhance learning environments and promote quality education.
The initiative follows his earlier facilitation of over 100 school construction and renovation projects across Abia North. The new phase aims to provide pupils with adequate classroom furniture to create a more conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning.
During the week, Senator Kalu’s team of aides supervised the distribution of desks in several schools within Bende Local Government Area, including:
- Amankalu Primary School, Alayi
- St. Joseph Primary School, Alayi
- Amankwo Primary School, Amankalu Igbere
- Amato Amaiyi Primary School, Igbere
- Onu Ibina Primary School, Igbere
- Central Primary School, Ezialayi
The Senator emphasized that education remains the foundation of human and societal development, stressing that his administration will continue to invest in the future of children across Abia North.
He noted that every child deserves a comfortable place to learn, adding that the distribution of desks is part of his broader commitment to improving educational infrastructure, especially in rural communities.
According to him, functional schools with proper learning facilities play a key role in reducing school dropout rates, improving literacy, and building a skilled generation capable of contributing to national growth.
