UAAP Congratulates Ex-Deputy Governor Ude Okochukwu on Joining Labour Party

In a statement signed by its President, Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor, popularly known as The Ultimate Commander, UAAP described Okochukwu’s move as a bold and progressive step that aligns with the ongoing transformation agenda in Abia under Governor Alex Otti.

The group expressed confidence that the former Deputy Governor will bring his wealth of political experience and expertise to the Labour Party. They assured him of their unwavering support and commitment to ensuring he feels fully at home within the party’s structure. UAAP also commended Governor Otti for his inclusive leadership style and for opening the doors of the Labour Party to all Abians, regardless of political background. According to the group, the Governor’s approach has helped reconcile past grievances and unite the political space in the state.

While welcoming Okochukwu, UAP encouraged him to remain firm in his decision, stressing that his people stand to benefit greatly from aligning with Governor Otti’s vision for a new Abia. “The former Deputy Governor has left darkness and embraced the light,” UAAP declared, “and the benefits of transformation will surely reach him and his constituency.”

The organization further reaffirmed its readiness to work with Okochukwu as both a member of the Labour Party and an ally of the United Abia Artists and Patriots, officially welcoming him into what they described as “a movement of hope and renewal for Abia State.”
