Abia Police Command has reunited rescued children with their families after arresting two women for conspiracy and child trafficking. The suspects are Chinasa Ukachukwu, 30 years, and Adaoma Sunday, 30 years.

The Command referenced its statement released on 10 October 2025. That operation rescued eight infants and ten stolen children. Parents from Lagos State have already identified two of the rescued children. Mr. Akinrinola Aliya Ayomide confirmed one child as his daughter, Akinrinola Aliyat Ayomide, with legal documents. She is now back with her family. Mr. Oladapo Olanipekun also identified little Master Olanipekun Akoede Daniel and took him home after verification.

Police urged parents whose children are missing to visit the Gender Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department or call the OC Gender on 08033173846.

The latest case began on 4 October 2024. The widow of late Mr. Ukachukwu Ojimadu, named Mrs. Chinasa Ukachukwu, told relatives she was attending a child dedication in Aba with her four children. She came back two days later with only one child. She failed to explain where the other three children were.

Police arrested her. Actionable intelligence led detectives to track and arrest her accomplice, Adaoma Sunday. The three missing children were rescued in Aba, Lagos, and Anambra. All have returned to their families. Investigators have taken the suspects to court.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa, urged parents and guardians in Abia State to protect their children and report suspicious behavior to the nearest police station. He released these emergency numbers for quick help. 08035415405. 08079210004. 08079210005. 08079210006.
