Abia Government Announces Date For 2nd Aba International Trade Fair
The Abia State Government has announced that the 2nd Aba International Trade Fair will run from November 28 to December 7, 2025, bringing local and international exhibitors together to boost investment, networking, and economic growth.
The Deputy Governor of Abia State, Engr Ikechukwu Emetu, has announced that the 2nd Aba International Trade Fair will take place from November 28 to December 7, 2025. The fair will run with the theme “Sustaining the Momentum: Unlocking Abia State’s Economic Potential.”
Speaking during a press briefing at the Government House, Umuahia, Engr Emetu reaffirmed the determination of Dr Alex Otti’s administration to expand opportunities for entrepreneurs, investors, and corporate organizations. He emphasized that the government remains committed to strengthening economic development and attracting sustainable investments into the state.
The Deputy Governor explained that the fair would host both local and international exhibitors, creating a platform for business networking, product showcasing, and investment partnerships.
“Abia is open for business, and we are going to accommodate every trader and exhibitor willing to showcase their businesses,” he stated.
The trade fair is being organized by the Abia State Government through the Ministry of Trade and Commerce, in collaboration with the Aba Chamber of Commerce, Mines and Agriculture (ACCIMA) and the Umuahia Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (UCCIMA).
According to the Deputy Governor, the fair is designed to:
- Showcase a wide variety of products and services from both local and international businesses.
- Create networking opportunities for entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders.
- Boost Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
- Reposition Abia as a leading economic hub in Nigeria.
Outgoing Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Mr. Kingsley Nwokocha, assured that careful planning had gone into making the trade fair seamless for exhibitors, traders, and visitors. He encouraged business owners, investors, and the public to seize the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and explore Abia’s growing market potential.
With the government’s commitment and strategic collaborations in place, expectations are high that the 2025 Aba International Trade Fair will surpass previous editions, reinforcing Abia’s reputation as Nigeria’s commercial powerhouse.
