Gov. Otti described the occasion as one of his most joyful moments in office, stressing the importance of such events in boosting athlete morale.
He reiterated his administration's elimination of non-indigene distinction and announced the lifting of the state's employment embargo to employ 15 athletes, preventing their departure for better opportunities.
Infrastructure, transportation and welfare concerns were addressed as the governor pledged to rehabilitate and maintain their stadium, enhance working conditions and donate a new coaster bus to the sports council before November.
