Governor Otti Inaugurates Asceta And Abia Transport Boards, Urges Commitment From Appointees

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has inaugurated the boards of the Abia State College of Education (Technical), Arochukwu (ASCETA), and the Abia State Transport Corporation. The ceremony took place on Monday shortly after the State Executive Council meeting.

Dr. Joe Emeson was inaugurated as Chairman of the Governing Council of ASCETA, while Mr. Emmanuel Ufomba was sworn in as Chairman of the Abia State Transport Corporation.

Addressing the appointees, Governor Otti congratulated them on their appointments and expressed gratitude for their willingness to serve the State in key capacities. He stressed that the roles require sacrifice, focus, and dedication.

“I would like to thank you for accepting to serve your State. I want to thank you for making the sacrifice to be here this morning. I want to also remind you that the job requires full commitment. Of course, we went through a process before you were selected from amongst many other qualified people from the State. I do not doubt that all of you will give your best to the State,” the Governor said.

Dr. Joe Emeson, Chairman of ASCETA, thanked the Governor for the appointment and pledged to uphold the trust reposed in him. He emphasized the centrality of education to societal development and promised to give his best to the institution.

Mr. Emmanuel Ufomba, Chairman of Abia State Transport Corporation, also expressed appreciation to the Governor. He described Dr. Otti as a leader with deep passion for the transport sector and assured that he would work diligently to improve transportation services in the State.

“This is the area of my competence and by the grace of God, I am going to put in my best to make sure I will make a bold mark in line with what the Governor has promised to do in the Abia transport sector,” Ufomba said.
