APC Chieftain Proposes Dangote–Otti Presidential Ticket for 2027 to Revive Nigeria’s Economy
APC chieftain Mallam Salihu Isa Nataro has proposed a 2027 presidential ticket pairing billionaire Aliko Dangote with Abia Governor Alex Otti, describing the duo as the best team to restore economic stability, tackle unemployment, and drive Nigeria’s industrial growth.
A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mallam Salihu Isa Nataro, has called for a presidential ticket featuring Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, and Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Nataro made the proposal on Sunday, October 5, in Abuja, describing the potential Dangote–Otti ticket as a “strategic alliance for national economic recovery.” He argued that both men possess the competence, vision, and proven leadership needed to restore Nigeria’s economic stability, drive industrialisation, and tackle unemployment.
According to Nataro, Nigeria’s future depends on leaders with practical experience in business and governance. He said Dangote’s track record in building Africa’s largest industrial empire and Otti’s performance in transforming Abia’s economy make them an ideal team for national leadership.
“If Dangote can step down as chairman of all his conglomerates, as he has already done with two companies, Nigerians will gladly support him to contest alongside Otti,” Nataro stated. “Together, they can industrialise Nigeria within a short period.”
He stressed that both men have demonstrated results-oriented leadership that prioritises productivity, accountability, and job creation, adding that the duo could reposition Nigeria as Africa’s industrial hub.
The APC stalwart urged political stakeholders to look beyond party lines and support individuals who can rebuild confidence in governance through sound economic policies and transparent management of national resources.
Nataro’s proposal has stirred conversations across political circles, with analysts noting that a Dangote–Otti ticket, though unconventional, could redefine Nigeria’s political and economic landscape if it materialises.
