I Might Not Be Bold Enough To Take Decisions Tinubu Is Taking If I Was The President- Uzor Kalu

Former Governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, has expressed optimism about the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu amidst the current challenges facing Nigerians. Speaking during his visit to the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman in Ebonyi State, Kalu acknowledged the prevailing hunger crisis in the country, urging citizens to remain patient as the administration implements tough decisions aimed at rebuilding the economy.

Kalu, a prominent chieftain of the APC, revealed his personal struggles with the economic situation and lauded Tinubu’s boldness in initiating necessary reforms. According to him, such actions are crucial for Nigeria’s long-term development, even though they may be painful in the short term.

“I might not be bold enough to take such decisions if I was the President,” Kalu admitted. “He [Tinubu] is telling Nigerians that we should start afresh. We would soon see the big light at the end of the tunnel.”

The senator reiterated his support for the administration’s policies, encouraging Nigerians to show understanding as Tinubu navigates through the challenges to create a brighter future.

During the visit, Kalu described his meeting with Ebonyi APC Chairman Stanley Okoro-Emegha as part of his annual engagements to strengthen ties with political allies. He praised Okoro-Emegha, referring to him as a political son, and emphasized the importance of fostering unity within the party.

In response, Okoro-Emegha expressed gratitude for Kalu’s visit and reassured him of his continued loyalty and support. He noted that their bond remains strong, signifying a deep connection within the APC’s leadership.

As Nigerians await the outcome of Tinubu’s reformative measures, Kalu’s call for patience and optimism resonates as a message of hope during challenging times.
