Governor Otto Condemns Attack On De Latinos Concept, Orders Investigation
The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, has strongly condemned the violent invasion and attack on De Latinos Concept, a popular entertainment and hospitality outfit in Umuahia, which occurred on Sunday, March 9, 2025. The attack resulted in the destruction of property and injuries to innocent individuals.
Governor Otti, expressing shock over the incident, has directed the Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa, to ensure that the perpetrators are identified and brought to justice. He emphasized that every individual involved in the violence will face prosecution to serve as a deterrent to others.
To show the government’s commitment, the Deputy Governor, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, visited the scene of the attack on behalf of the Governor. He was received by the CEO of De Latinos and the Commissioner of Police. Engr. Emetu reassured the management and staff of De Latinos that the state government would take all necessary steps to protect businesses and ensure that such incidents do not happen again.
During the visit, CP Danladi Isa expressed regret over the incident, describing it as avoidable. He also disclosed that officers involved in the attack had been arrested and were undergoing interrogation.
Governor Otti reaffirmed his administration's commitment to providing a secure and business-friendly environment in Abia State. He warned that his government would not tolerate any actions that instill fear in residents and business owners.
The Abia State Government reassured investors and business owners that security agencies would work diligently to prevent similar occurrences and uphold law and order in the state.
