Air Peace Inspires Mbala Women in Abia State with Free Flights and Aviation Opportunities

In a bold and heartfelt move under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Air Peace, Nigeria’s leading airline, has launched a women-focused empowerment drive in Mbala community, aimed at breaking barriers in aviation and encouraging air travel among underrepresented groups.

The airline’s initiative, which cuts across environment, social welfare, education, youth and women empowerment, is part of its broader vision to democratize air travel and foster inclusive opportunities for all Nigerians, regardless of social or economic background.

At the heart of the event was a symbolic moment that captured attention: first-time female flyers from Mbala were offered an unforgettable experience in the sky. This act of empowerment was aimed at planting seeds of inspiration and encouraging more women to consider careers in aviation, such as pilots, engineers, cabin crew, and airline management professionals.

Speaking during the outreach, Dr. Ejike Ndiulo, Head of Corporate Communications at Air Peace, emphasized the airline’s belief in the power of aviation to transform lives.

“Air Peace is here today in the Mbala community to empower women, humanise air travel and demonstrate the power of aviation to transform lives. At Air Peace, we believe in the strength, resilience, and potential of women,” Dr. Ndiulo stated.

He highlighted the gender-inclusive leadership structure at Air Peace, noting that the Vice Chairman, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief of Administration and Finance are all women—a significant representation of female leadership in a traditionally male-dominated industry.

“This initiative is not just about flights; it is about unlocking opportunities. Today, a first-time traveler; tomorrow, a pilot or an aviation leader,” he added.

The airline also celebrated the inspiring story of Miss Gold Ike, the first woman from Umuerim Umukparo to ever travel by air. Her journey stands as a powerful symbol of progress and the far-reaching impact of inclusion.

Air Peace reaffirmed its commitment not only to providing safe and affordable air travel, but also to inspiring dreams, promoting gender equity, and bridging the gap between rural communities and opportunities in aviation.

With this initiative, Air Peace once again positions itself as more than just an airline—it becomes a catalyst for transformation, using the sky as a ladder for hope, dreams, and progress.
