Governor Otti speaks on new minimum wage
A committee has already been set up. The Government team together with the Nigeria Labour congress is already making progress
Governor of Abia state Dr. Alex Otti has clarified issues bothering on the new minimum wage implementation in the state.
He made this clarification during the monthly media chat tagged "Gov. Otti speaks to Abians" held on friday. The Governor stated that the state is working out modalities for the payment of minimum wage, according to him his administration is working in line with the leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) to work out modalities for the payment of the new nation's wage of seventy thousand naira (N70,000).
The Governor also emphasized that while the state government works closely with the NLC, the state government still awaits further clarifications from the federal Government on the way forward
