Us Firm To Partner Abia On Entrepreneurship development,Skills Aquisition

The United States-based firm, US Market Access Centre (USMAC), has solidified plans to collaborate with the Abia State Government on initiatives centered on entrepreneurship development, skills acquisition, and technological innovation. This was disclosed by the leader of the USMAC delegation, Chris Burry, during a working visit to Alex Otti, the Governor of Abia State, at the Government House in Umuahia.

Speaking on the occasion, Burry expressed that Abia State was chosen as the pioneer location for their proposals due to the remarkable innovations introduced by Governor Otti’s administration. He revealed that USMAC is keen to invest in the state, particularly in entrepreneurship education, skills development, and technology, underscoring the potential of such collaboration to drive economic transformation in the region.

“Abia was the first State we considered for our proposals because of the impressive innovations Governor Otti has brought to governance,” Burry stated. “Our interest is to invest in areas such as entrepreneurship education, skills acquisition, and technology, and we are excited about the prospects of partnering with the state.”

In his response, Governor Alex Otti warmly welcomed the USMAC delegation and expressed optimism about the partnership. He emphasized that Abia State, particularly Aba, the state’s commercial hub, is ripe for investment, innovation, and technological advancement.

“The proposal of the company is in line with the vision of my administration. When you talk of technology, that’s where we are heading to. If it is about entrepreneurship and innovation, I think you have come to the best place,” Governor Otti said. “There is no better place, if you are talking about entrepreneurship or investment, than Abia State.”

The governor highlighted that his administration is focused on leveraging the abundant human resources and entrepreneurial energy within the state to foster economic growth and technological development.

USMAC’s planned collaboration with Abia State is expected to bolster local capacity in technology-driven entrepreneurship, create jobs, and improve the economic landscape of the state, making it a model for other states in Nigeria.
