Governor Alex Otti to Flag Off Umuahia Dedicated Internet Access/Wide Area Network Project
Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, is set to officially launch the Umuahia Dedicated Internet Access/Wide Area Network (WAN) Project, a transformative initiative designed to enhance digital connectivity within the Abia State Civil Service.
The launch event is scheduled to take place as follows:

This initiative aligns with Governor Otti’s vision of leveraging technology for efficient governance, improved service delivery, and a digitally empowered workforce. By establishing a dedicated internet access and Wide Area Network, the Abia State Government aims to enhance inter-agency communication, streamline administrative processes, and create a more responsive and transparent public service system.
The Umuahia Dedicated Internet Access/WAN Project will provide high-speed, secure, and reliable connectivityacross government ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs), ensuring seamless data sharing, improved workflow efficiency, and enhanced service delivery.
Governor Otti’s administration has remained committed to digital transformation, recognizing the importance of modern ICT infrastructure in driving economic growth, governance, and public sector efficiency. This project is expected to bridge digital gaps, reduce paperwork, and promote e-governance practices within the state’s civil service.
Given the significance of this project, the Abia State Government has extended invitations to key stakeholders, including:
- Heads of MDAs
- The Body of Permanent Secretaries
- Directors of MDAs
- All Civil Servants within Abia State Government Ministries
All invited guests are expected to be seated before the arrival of Governor Otti and his entourage for the official flag-off ceremony.
