Abia State Harmonized Taskforce intensifies action in evacuation of destitutes from Abia roads

The Abia State Harmonized Taskforce has intensified their effort in getting rid of destitutes beggars from the streets of Abia, over the years it appeared as if it has been a culture that all Aba and Umuahia streets became an abode for destitues who loiter about engaging in nefarious and incriminating activities,

but since the emergence of the joint State Taskforce a brainchild of Gov. Alex Otti’s administration, the taskforce has taken it as a duty to return normalcy to the streets of Aba. In a post on their official Facebook page, the Abia State Harmonized Taskforce reiterated their commitment in ensuring they continue in their efforts to restore sanity, recall that the taskforce had earlier last month taken similar move where they captured destitute beggars in numbers and sent them to the desired quarters, the post this morning on facebook reads

"we are resilient and determined in raiding our streets off destitute beggars and children left in the mercy of physically challenged parents,sequel to this on Friday 6th september, our team from the Aba area ably led by the Mayor of Aba south Mr. Bobo Wogu continued our normal massive evacuation of destitute beggars from roads" We succeeded in returning migrants who are homeless to their origins, while we sent the mentally disordered to the rehabilitation centre, children were taken to orphanage homes, youths who were found culpable of any crime were taken into custody for proper investigation"

"The Abia state Harmonized Taskforce is dutifully commited to make Abia a safe place where adults and children can move around freely without fear of harsassment, intimidation, extortion of any form of pickpocketting, we are commited in proffering lasting solution to the menace of environmental hazard constituted by loitering of destitutes and beggars inclusive of criminals masquerading in the guise of beggars and mentally derailed"
