August 16, 2025, marked a historic celebration in Ozuitem, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, as the Ozuitem Women Development Union (O.W.D.U.) conferred the prestigious title of “Ogbupere Uzo 1 of Ozuitem Land” on Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, the Senate Committee Chairman on Privatisation and senator representing Abia North Senatorial District.

The honour, bestowed during the 2025 August Conference of the union, was held at the Ozuitem Community Hall and drew community leaders, dignitaries, and residents who gathered to celebrate the senator’s contributions to Ozuitem and the wider Abia North region.

Although Senator Kalu could not attend in person, he was ably represented by Barrister Victor Etie, a close associate. Delivering the senator’s message, Etie conveyed Kalu’s deep appreciation for the recognition.

“I am honored to be bestowed with the title of Ogbupere Uzo 1 of Ozuitem Land. This recognition is a testament to the collective efforts of the community and the unwavering commitment of the O.W.D.U to the development of our land,” Kalu said.
