Governor Alex Otti Partners with Hollywood Filmmakers to Launch “Chronicles of Enyimba City” Film Project in Aba

Aba, the commercial heartbeat of Abia State, is set to make history as Governor Dr. Alex Otti announces the launch of the “Chronicles of Enyimba City” film project on November 14 in Aba.

The Governor, who also serves as the project’s brand ambassador, said the initiative will document Aba’s journey, from its struggles to its resurgence under his administration.

A Film to Tell Aba’s Story to the World

Briefing journalists on the project, Chief Obialor Anyanwu, Chairman of Aba South LGA, said the film will present the true story of Aba’s resilience and potential to a global audience.

“Aba is a city of limitless prospects where hard work thrives. This project will put Aba on the global map,” Anyanwu stated.

Traditional ruler Eze Monday Ugbor of Aba-Ukwu Ancient Kingdom also threw his weight behind the initiative, saying the city’s rich history and cultural heritage will now be celebrated in cinemas worldwide.

Hollywood Collaboration & Film Village Plans

Hollywood filmmaker and Technical Director, Dr. Prospect Mlemchukwu, described the project as a “world-class challenge” with the capacity to generate revenue, create jobs, and further showcase Aba internationally. He also revealed that plans are underway to establish a film village in Abia to nurture talent and support large-scale productions.

Producer Mr. Francis Ifeakandu disclosed that the project has been in development for two years. According to him, auditions will soon commence and an official website will go live next week to allow free registration for interested actors, crew members, and collaborators.
